Women's Tour of Scotland Overview

I absolutely love this photo of my mom's cousins from Wisconsin riding in a jaunting car in Killarney c.1970!  So precious, and on the 2011 tour, when I handed my business card - that contains this photo - to our coach driver, he was speechless!  That is his uncle on the far right with the grey hair.  And the #21 and the horseshoe painted on the rear of the jaunting car--painted by our coach driver's father when the driver was 10 years old!  It was a wonderful, serendipitous moment!

This footloose and fancy free women's tour of Scotland will have you in awe of the rugged beauty that IS Scotland and the charm of her people. Our sojourn across Scotland will include the National Museum, castles, gardens, islands and the Highlands, and two of Scotland's most sacred sites, the Abbey on the isle of Iona, and Culloden Battlefield that changed Scottish history forever.

We'll visit House for an Art Lover, the work of quintessential Scottish architect, Charles Rennie Macintosh, while we're taking tea in Glasgow. Inverary Castle, ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll, Chief of the Clan Campbell is on our way to the Highlands; visit the castle and stroll the gardens.

Sheepdogs, kilt makers, and whisky distillers will each demonstrate their skills! There will be ferry rides to the isles of Mull, Iona and Skye, where we will stop at two castles-Eilean Donan-the most photographed castle in Scotland, and the Hebridean stronghold, Dunvegan Castle the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland and home to Clan MacLeod for over 800 years!

We'll explore castle gardens, heather gardens, and the elegant city of Edinburgh, including a lovely Afternoon Tea at the Balmoral Hotel Drawing Room.

We'll enjoy the hospitality of deluxe 4/star hotels and travel in a luxury coach with a Scottish driver, who will not only transport you, he will simultaneously educate and entertain you!  The 2012 Scotland Tour promises to be educational, cultural, and inspirational!  Reserve your seat today ($250), and prepare to be dazzled by the rugged beauty of Scotland and the charm of the Scottish people.
